Hogan's Hero's ran for 6 years and no one had a problem with it then. It must be a "PC" list.
The Secret Diary of Desmond PfeifferOh my god, that show was real? I thought it was just something they used in Clerks: TAS. Wow, I think that's even funnier now.

With Howard Stern being on for almost 10 years talking about boobs, having fart contests and degrading anyone who will stand there or call in and take it, a comedy with lots of laughs that's about a POW camp with a highly diverse cast of characatures from multiple countries seems pretty sad. Especially since in 1965 the main bread winners in probably most households watching were veterans of WWII.
"BIDIBIDIBIDI" Ahh Mel Blanc as the voice of twiggyThat's TWIKI and that's blasphemy!
On the other topic at hand, I can fully understand the objection if Hogan's Heroes were set in a concentration camp, but the use of a prisoner of war camp as a central location had been done several times previously (The Great Escape, Bridge on the River Kwai, Stalag 17, Von Ryan's Express). Switching the genre to situation comedy shouldn't automatically render something offensive. But I'll never wager any money on what things people might claim offense to.
