If it's going to be a 2.1 system why bother with a surround sound reciever? You can get more for less with a nice vintage amp or stereo sperates. This will allow you to put a eq into the tape loop with no issues.

Because the I want some of the capabilities that the Onyko provides? I really like the NR616 I think if I can get that for 400 Im gonna do that.
