Toshiba 50H81 or 42H81 remote control (1 Viewer)

I just bought a Toshiba 3750 DVD player to prep for a purchase of a HDTV (probably Toshiba 50H81, maybe the 42H81). I never thought I'd care that much about a remote control but I think the 3750's remote is annoyingly difficult.

Question: I'm assuming that since the 50H81 and 42H81 are advertised as having Universal remotes it could control the 3750. Is that true, and if so, what key DVD functions does it control? Will life be any easier with the TV remote vs. the DVD remote?

Hey, you might want to hold off a purchase of the 81's as the 82's are being released soon. It will be an upgrade of the 81 that has some problems that you can read about if you search the forum and other sources.
