So far my list from the summer has done surprisingly well. Just 7 months later (in my two year game) and they've already announced Hellbenders (Corbucci!!!), Night of the Comet, Monster Squad and Phantasm III. Even more Lynch has hit the streets with Dynamic 1 and the forthcoming Twin Peaks box set. Just 17 months to go before my next list... c'mon, MGM, you guys have the power to make me proud!

YES, but it's still not released and I want it desperately.

A few days ago I would have added "Captain Horatio Hornblower" and "I Will Fight No More Forever" - which are announced as well - but they said 5 DVDs :)

All of those films are available in other regions (if you have a multi-region player).

I could upgrade to a region-free player I suppose, but still I would rather have R1 discs, since I think they would look better than a PAL-NTSC conversion.

Robert Altman's "Brewster McCloud" isn't on DVD yet (don't think it ever was). But, they do show it from time to time on TCM. :)

There is no conversion. The multi-region players play both PAL and NTSC. The difference is that there is a slight speed-up with PAL, but I have never noticed this when playing any PAL DVDs.

I couldn't live without my multi-region player, there are so many DVDs now available to me that have not been released or have inferior transfers/non-OAR in Region 1.
