Rob, I think you are quite right. It makes sense that your top 10 favorite movies are the same ones you have the most fun watching. In my case, my top 10 can be seen in my soon to be updated (

Not for me. My earlier list represents ten films that I can 'slip into' with little effort and consequently have a high rewatch ratio. My top 10 favorite films are an entirely different matter, as some of them are heavily dependant upon mood and don't lend themselves to frequent or casual viewing. There are a few from the earlier list that make the cut, but only a few.

Yep. :)

I definitely have no distinction between the ten movies I have the most fun watching, my ten favorites, and the ten greatest.

On the other hand, if you'd ask me which ones I laughed at the most (not the same as having the most fun for me), or which ones got my toes a-tappin, etc. then my list would be different.

Most laughs:

Planes, Trains & Automobiles
Young Frankenstein
Mr. Hulot's Holiday
It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
Blazing Saddles
A Hard Day's Night
Hopscotch
Adam's Rib
Monty Python & the Holy Grail
The Princess Bride

These films are in no particular order and are primarily based upon rewatchability, not quality.

Rushmore - I can never decide which Wes Anderson flick I like best, but I definitely watch Rushmore more than the others.

Office Space - "PC Load Letter, what the fuck does that mean!"

Return of the Jedi - Call me a nut, but I still watch ROTJ more than any other Star Wars film.

The Matrix - I had collected DVDs for about 8 months prior to it's release, but it really hooked me on the format.

The Matrix Reloaded - I've been watching it constantly since it's release. It gets better every time.

LOTR: FOTR - Classic.

LOTR: TTT - While I think Fellowship is a better film, TTT is more enjoyable.

Pulp Fiction - If this pops on HBO, it's physically impossible to turn the channel.

The Big Lebowski - Thank you, brothers Coen.

X-Men - I think Spidey and X2 may be better comic adaptations, but I prefer X-Men. (Which may change when X2 is released).
