Tiny Speakers that the wife will approve of? (1 Viewer)

I Have the Energy Encore System they are the same size as the Take 5 and really sound great They can be had for under $1000 if you check around.I listened to both of these and spent the extra on the Encores. Like you my wife wasn't into speaker clutter but she really loves these!

Not tiny, but small are the PSB Alpha AV's.

The M&K K-5/K-9 setup is exceptional, probably the best I've heard in the small speaker range. Get five K-5s for your mains speakers, and a K-9 subwoofer and you're all set. Here is some more info:

You also might want to consider the AVS-500 series by Mirage. From what I understand, they're practically the same speaker as the Energy Take 5's, and they sound wonderful for a small speaker. These speakers, plus an 8 inch sub (puts out a lot of bass for its size!) can be had for about $800, but there might be places that will sell them for less.
