...I'm not sure why so many are standing on a soap box and talking about how morally wrong this movie is.

Honestly, I think that's much ado about nothing. There's probably a handful of (and even that's probably being generous) people who like being outraged on Twitter & Facebook and the media made a mountain out of a molehill.

I wonder how many of these 'outraged' people have actually seen the movie because I can't imagine anyone watching it and thinking that the movie endorses what those people did. Honestly, even if they did see it and think that, I think they either arrived at that conclusion before actually seeing the movie and then just saw what they wanted to in order to have it meet their pre-judgment or it's as simple as that they're pretty damn stupid.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not saying that about people who don't like that Belfort is going to make money from this (though I'd argue that at least he can pay restitution to his victims that way) or people that didn't like the movie but only about people who think this movie was somehow endorsing the actions of a lowlife animal who robbed people.

I didn't see anything that could have pointed towards any of Jordan's, or the rest of the cast for that matter, actions being looked at as positive. The entire time I was watching it I was just squirming at my seat at some of the stuff they did. I think the scene that got to me the most was near the end with his kid in the car. The whole theater just gasped when he crashed into the wall behind him and they cut to a view of the kid's head just bounced back and forth.

How can this be viewed as a positive look at Belfort? Because there are funny moments in the film? Most of the time I was laughing it was out of sheer disbelief, not because I thought what they were doing was particularly funny. I must admit though, Jonah Hill's performance was my favorite of the entire movie. I could barely even tell it was him as the movie went on.

Again, I think at the end of GOODFELLAS you didn't want to be Henry Hill. I think a lot of people are leaving THE WOLF OF WALL STREET saying they wouldn't mind having that lifestyle even with the short jail time. I mean, I think most people hate anyone who works on Wall Street but I'm not sure many would turn down the money. WALL STREET said greed is good and this film shows how good it could be.

Scorsese was on Letterman the other night and it was rather hilarious hearing the two go back and forth about the nudity. Hill was on Fallon and he did nothing but talk about how ugly these characters were and how dirty he felt just having to act the stuff out.

I saw Jonah Hill doing an interview where he talked about how awkward it was for Scorsese to direct the airplane sequence because of all the nudity. I would provide a link, but I can't find it anywhere. It's hilarious.

Excellent news. Sorry, at $100-million dollars you can't play arthouse and release a 4+ hour movie. They had to cut it down to make money back and they needed to cut down the excess of nudity/sex. I'm glad this here is coming out. This isn't a few seconds like CASINO. I really can't wait to see this epic film even longer.

I expected an unrated version (which would have probably been a few seconds longer) but I'll take a longer cut of the movie.

My point was that you can release a 4+ hour arthouse movie because you don't have to get a large audience to make you $100 million. With this film having such a large budget there was simply no way they could release the full version or a NC-17 rated version. The budget is why this thing was cut down. Had this been a $15-$25 million film then I'd bet Scorsese and DiCaprio would attempt to throw this out there uncut.

Not on this release. Only the theatrical cut is included on the upcoming blu being released here in theU.S.Since that's a UK site, maybe the four cut is being released overseas, or, that whole report is bogus. Anyone hear this anywhere else?

Loved this movie and give it 9/10. Something amazing happened. I've heard that this movie uses the most curse words ever or something like that.

I am normally a little sensitive to curse words and profanity when it's used for no apparent reason. I watched the movie and I can say that I didn't hear one single curse word the entire movie! Nothing jumped at me, it felt natural and I was so much into the story.

I hope people recognize Jonah Hill's performance and that it doesn't get overshadowed by Leo's.As the guy who was the fat funny kid in accepted he's really come a long way.
