Honestly, I think that's much ado about nothing. There's probably a handful of (and even that's probably being generous) people who like being outraged on Twitter & Facebook and the media made a mountain out of a molehill.Michael Elliott said:...I'm not sure why so many are standing on a soap box and talking about how morally wrong this movie is.
I wonder how many of these 'outraged' people have actually seen the movie because I can't imagine anyone watching it and thinking that the movie endorses what those people did. Honestly, even if they did see it and think that, I think they either arrived at that conclusion before actually seeing the movie and then just saw what they wanted to in order to have it meet their pre-judgment or it's as simple as that they're pretty damn stupid.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I'm not saying that about people who don't like that Belfort is going to make money from this (though I'd argue that at least he can pay restitution to his victims that way) or people that didn't like the movie but only about people who think this movie was somehow endorsing the actions of a lowlife animal who robbed people.
