Five Deadly Venoms is one of the better Hong Kong Martial arts films to come out of the 70's. What makes it stand out to me is that it actually has a good plot compared to others in that Genre.

Lady Snowblood is a guilty pleasure over the top Japanese Martial Arts film from the same mold as The Lone Wolf & Cub films. I probably shouldn't have included it as it is rather obscure, but after watching Kill Bill it brought back fond memories.

Samurai Saga '59 is an excellent adaptation of Cyrano de Berjerac starring Toshirô Mifune. It's well worth checking out if you can find it.

It's not the Samurai Trilogy.
