This is a total shocker. I can't believe that CBS fast tracked the final three seasons of this show. It's going to be great to have the whole series at last. Now, if they culd just fast track Dynasty and get it finished.

It's smashing good and much welcome news goes without saying, but does anyone know why they're popping them out like bullets now? Because it would seem that it had nothing to do with poor sales numbers then as some predicted it to be, when it was stalled 4 years back, but rather more like some of us suggested at the time that they needed sufficient time to remaster the remaining seasons(?). Now it almost seems like they were always going to release them, which is an interesting development.

Well they did try to release a few that weren't remastered and that may have been to speed up the release schedule to meet demand (e.g., Bonanza S2 and Rawhide S4). But based on the reviews and most likely a dip in sales they may have gone back to waiting for the remastering efforts to be finished. Maybe there is also a benefit in lower production costs of doing more releases within a given period of time. That may explain why they waited until they had several sets to put out at the same time. Whatever the reason, we are reaping the benefits for at least this year. Hopefully, it will extend into next year as well.

Very pleased about the fifth season of The Streets of San Francisco being released, and the series is being completed on Region 1. Just leaves the early 90's TV movie follow-up to be released (and if it doesn't get a DVD release, to get the rest of the five seasons released, when it seemed like the series wouldn't get unstalled, well, that's very welcome indeed).
