I hated the way NBC sacrificed Scrubs this week! I had to watch my CSI, and since that show is obviously kicking the boogers out of Will & Grace every week, they push that thing into Scrubs place this week, and I'm too cheap for Tivo!

"I'm fairly sure that if they took porn off the Internet, there'd only be one website left, and it'd be called, Bring Back The Porn!"

Good stuff. :)

I was at Burger King for lunch, and just had to laugh when I saw the signage for the flame-grilled Chicken Baguettes.

It was great to see Dr. Cox actually work for something for once. The characters have a way of saying one thing to each other and meaning something entirely different. The style of the dialog takes risks that few shows would dare, simply because they ask something of the audience. They've really nailed the way they filter Cox's compassion through the insults this season.

I made have missed something, but where is Ted? I didn't like that new guy following Dr. Kelso around. It made it Dr. Kelso the bully and his back-up punch. Part of what makes Dr. Kelso work is the fact that no one (including his cronies) likes him.

where is Ted?
He's probably in a bed because of the paddle that he got stuck in him in the first episode of this season. :)

I think it's because of Scott Foley, once he's out I think we'll see more of Ted. The "new guy" was in the pilot episode, we just didn't see him in any of the episodes after that. Plus, the only reason the "new guy" was sucking up to him was because he wanted to be Residency Director.

Another great episode last night. People have been asking for years what the next "Seinfeld" will be and I think we have an answer:SCRUBS! Last nights episode was hilarious. I love the fact that Elliots car door was a different color(keeping the gag from the premier running).
The hairmet had me cracking up as well.

11/06/03 "My Brother, Where Art Thou?"

Another funny episode, with Tom Cavanaugh reprising his role as JD's older brother. Ted makes an appearance, love the rug.

This show has the most laughs/minute of any show currently in production. Whenever Turk goes into his frat party boy persona, he's funny as hell.

"This has all the makings of a dog-pile"

HAHAHA

I'd be happy about dying if I got to watch an episode of Scrubs before hand. Love this show!

"Ed" does a great job as JD's brother. Hope they bring him around a few more times.

"You seem to have mistaken me with somone who gives a damn. Don't worry, though, it seems to happen all of the time. My father on his deathbed, for instance."

One of the best Cox lines ever. This episode was my favorite of the season, with the best balance of drama and comedy. The scene at the end with Cox, J.D., and Pickles was really touching in an odd sort of way.

And Dr. Kelso making that impassioned speech to the woman on the other end of the line and then telling Ted to call his wife and tell her he'd be getting home late was just priceless.

I wanted to jump in and ask if anyone else felt that this season's shows aren't as funny as the previous ones. Don't get me wrong, it's still really entertaining but it seems as if there's something different. Maybe they're verring away from the zany, chaotic humor that they had before and going a bit more mature/dry humor as to display it from JD's perspective? I really don't know - but there hasn't been a moment this season (early, I know) that rivals the "Eye of the Tiger" sequence. That almost made me pee my pants. :)

I love this show; but I really aggravated by how NBC schedules it. On one week, not the next, different times, etc. I have missed some episodes, including the one on 10/30/03, because of this crappy scheduling.

On an "It's TV, not real, note": you have to be a licensed Veterinarian, not Physician (although you can be both) to practice Veterinary Medicine, thus Elliot's moonlighting at the Vet ER would not be legal in any state I know of. Carla's would probably have been OK, as most states do not require licensed Vet Techs.

The vet scene was worth it for the payoff of seeing Elliot get attacked by the cat(s) in an effort to avoid Kelso. :)

Too bad they didn't go for more realism; my "record" is 22 bites and scratches on my hands from one cat. As I am standing there ripped to shreds, the owner says "The mean doctor didn't hurt you, did he, Fluffy?"

Yeah, after the pain goes away, it is kinda funny that a 6lb cat can do so much damage before you can turn it loose. :)

Makes you feel for Roy Horn.

Many great moments tonight, top-notch episode. Highlights:

- The Todd humping the bed.
- Elliott repeatedly getting close with J.D.
- Marco "laughing"
- Marco layin' the smackdown on Turk
- Tara Reid

- The end :)

I'm mad that they cut the intro short. I love the intro and the song. ON the other hand, it might mean a little more of the actuall episode, so I'm not to angry.

Very funny episode. May be the best of the season like Chuck said.

"Sometimes when I'm humping this bed, I'm thinking about humping that bed"

HAHA

I want Scrubs on DVD.

The opening 5 minutes of this show had me laughing more than all of the comedies combined I've watched this month.

Frederico (from Six Feet Under) was hilarious. Todd was extremely funny. JD was on his game. Cox and Kelso's banter was great.

The "Danni" as Jordan's sister was set up brilliantly. I never saw it coming, and BOOM! I was laughing even harder at the revelation and what it'll mean to JD.

Well, as W&G ran 2 minutes long and ER started 1 1/2 minutes early, I'd say same amount of show.
