He does deserve to win, but for the fact that he shouldn't have been on the show this season in the first place.

I frankly don't care who wins at this point.

I agree with you Greg.

The fact that he is back for his fourth try is a big advantage and frankly I have lost some interest in Survivor because of it.

If he ever comes back for a 5th season I might just have to stop watching.

The concept of Survivor is so good in its purest form that it just doesn't need the gimmicks to which it has resorted in recent seasons--such as Redemption Island and the addition of former multiple-time players (Russell and Boston Rob) and celebrities (Jimmy Johnson).

It is compelling-enough in its simplicity of bringing together strangers who need to create community and yet try to win a game based on social and physical skills. All they need to be sure to do is cast interesting personalities (not wackos) and some eye candy.

If not for the fact that I just happened to turn on my

television shortly after 8pm I would not have known

that tonight is the finale.

So, here I am almost through the first hour, watching

the show while I am on Google TV typing this message.

Hope that Boston Rob wins it. I mean, who else is
there to root for at this point?

The show is about to go live in NYC.

I have to be up early so I will watch the

NYC show tomorrow to see the final vote.

Having just watched the Jury questioning

I just want to say this....

Probably the best season I have watched

in the past 5 seasons since I have joined
this show.

Loved the Jury questioning tonight. Glad

to see Philip get berated for his behavior.

I am not proud of Natalie nor Rob, but let's

face it, Rob played the game well even if you

don't agree with his moral aspects.

Will look forward to watching the results in
the AM.

Count me in as someone who was disappointed

that the final "walk" where everyone was recounted

did not take place this season. However, I can see

where time was a factor with the jury questioning

tonight, and I would have rather spent more time

with that then remembering the fallen survivors.

Again, probably my favorite season to date. I mean,

from day one, I knew this would be a good group of

survivors. It did turn out to be a great season.

Sonuvabitch. Everything I didn't like about this season is coming back next season: Redemption Island and two former players.

Glad to see Rob win it and also glad the walk was ditched. Felt bad for Matt losing the chance to come back. Damn Natalie cleans up well. Poor widdle Gwant got hims feewings hurt. Apparently Russell will likely be back next season...

Sad to see Grant still butt-hurt over his dismissal by the Robfather. That marriage proposal didn't seem like a sure thing...

They ditched the fallen heroes because the final redemption island challenge bumped it for time.

Awesome season. Of course I may be biased as I wanted Rob to win. As much as I liked this season I don't see how the show can go with the same formula and duplicate the success of this season. That is unless.....unless they bring back someone from this season and he or she uses what they learned from this season to blind side people much as Russell did in heroes vs. villains. However, I just don't see anyone from this season that could pull that off.

Great season - for me it is always a pleasure to watch a master practice his craft, whether it's Michael Jordan playing basketball, Meryl Streep acting or Rob Mariano playing Survivor. The only disappointment was Zapatera's stupid decision to throw a challenge and vote out Russell. As good as it was, the season could have been even better if Russell had stayed longer.

Maybe they'll bring back Stephanie and Bobby Jon....again.

Heck, it would only be her, what, third or fourth time on the show...

Although I actually liked the Redemption Island part I think I done with Survivor. It was just ridiculous that they have brought Rob back 4 separate times.

A couple things I missed from this seasons Survivor:

1) Making the contestants eat weird food/bugs (they did this before right? or was it strictly a Fear Factor thing...)

2) The auctioning off of luxury items

Things I'm glad that were left out:

1) The in-season recap episode

2) The "fallen heroes" walk

Still, season after season you have these people on the Jury that are butt hurt. I didn't see Andrea or Ashley up there apologizing to Matt or Grant for blindsiding them. How do these people year after year not know how stupid they look. They got voted off while attempting to do the exact same thing to someone else, but because they are not sitting in front of the jury they are somehow holier than though? Ridiculous every season.

And don't get me started on the gorilla lady with close eyes that said their kids should be ashamed of them. She voted people off her tribe. She just never had the chance to vote more people off after the merge.

Makes for good TV though. Looking forward to next season. Bring back the dragon slayer!

Holy Shit did I just spit out cereal with that one.

Wow, Steve, don't hold back. I mean, that trumps my
"frumpy Jennifer Aniston" reference by a longshot.

Apparently Russell will likely be back next season...

I know you guys will hate me for saying this, but

I am all for it.

Bring back the dragon slayer!

I would be happy to see Coach return.

The only problem, that I have cited many times

before here, is that these returning survivors all

know the "act" they have to play to please their

fans. I would much rather deal with a cast of

survivors who are sincere, and not playing it up

for the camera.

On another note, David looked generally pissed-off

for most of the reunion show, so I was rather surprised

when he got up to propose to his girlfriend. That was

rather nice. However, don't know much about this

girl, but she seems to be....how can I put it...well

I won't.....just didn't need to tell him to tone his words

down at that very critical moment.

Great season. Great!
