May I propose a rule #7? Any discs purchased after December 1, 2005 are not required to be completed in the 2005 Challenge. While I normally hold off on purchases in the month of December because of Christmas, there are a few releases that I must pick up on street-date but I might not have time to complete them in the two weeks between December starting and the deadline.

I am in this as well, just to see how many and what I watch within a year.

The exact number of one's collection is rather hard to calculate though...

For example, I currenlty have 314 "titles" (and that number grows every week). Now if we remove all "TV shows", "TV movies", "Music & Concert DVDs" and "Double Dips" (I assume that if one owns Spider-man SE and Spider-man Superbit, he does not have to watch both... Though titles like Daredevil and Daredevil DC, Underworld and Underworld DC would count seperately as the movie itself is different... Right?) I am brought down to 205 titles...

BUT

Some of those titles are box sets and include more than 1 movie. Like "Alien Qudrilogy" ect... So one has to go back and count and add every movie extra over 1 (assuming he's already counted those sets as 1). Quite a task indeed!

OK, I have counted as carefully as possible (getting flashbacks of a not so distant "Amazing Race 6" episode involving an "IKEA" challenge) and far as I can tell, as of "12/14/2005", I have currenlty:

This is my first post ever to a forum, but I like this idea. It looks like it will be a lot of fun. Since I just saw this today 1/1/05 I am going to start from today.
