The sound doesn't need to be DTS, but it needs to be improved. I don't know what they did to the DVD, but the LD sounds better.

1) I kinda doubt that
2) It's not really 'anime' unless it is produced in Japan with a Japanese audience in mind. Hiring Japanese directors doesn't automatically make it anime. Hell, Peter Chung was born in China and was schooled and has made his career in the US. Here they have Americans writing it, and mostly Japanese directors directing it (and who knows where all of the labor is being done).
