I was under the impression that the Image Midnight Run DVD was out of print. If so, it can go on the list.

If it's not, I'll remove it.

I'll fix the other two.

Thanks!

I don't know who holds the rights for this one, but I'm going to keep bringing it up.......The Plague Dogs.
I feel that this movie is an important milestone in animation because it is a DRAMA, not the typical animated comedy. It is also an animated film that has mature themes that are not reliant on scatological or sexual humour like so many of the allegedly adult Bakshi films are.

It is not juvenile humour like the SOUTH PARK movie. The Plague Dogs is the closest that animation has ever gotten to telling a "live-action" story. I really want to see it released and preserved on DVD. It should not be allowed to rot away in some musty vault.

BTW is there a TV version of this type of thread? I'm asking this because another series I want to see released is the Cosgrove-Hall stop-motion animated TV series of "The Wind in The Willows".

Edwin,

1. I've been curious to see that film for some time now.

2. The humor in the South Park movie is FAR from juvenile!

3. If it's TV material you're looking for, I got two words: David. Lambert. ;)

All titles have been added. How weird that Death Wish 5 is on DVD but Parts 2, 3 and 4 are not...

I found the movie funny but it wasn't because of clever writing or wordplay. It was funny because it appealed to the lowest common denominator of humour....the part of a person that snickers at fart jokes. That is why I consider it juvenile in execution. The movie had plenty of satire in it, but it relied on the basest of humour for execution. There was no particular skill in it. Of course humour is subjective and what one may think is juvenile......another may think is subversive.

I believe it is a hundred times harder to produce something funny and satirical without the use of swear words or body function humour.

I don't want to derail your thread. I find I sometimes have a bad habit of going off on tangents in these threads.

I would like to add another movie to the list The Secret of Roan Inish. I know this film has been released on DVD, but I read that an atrocious job was done with the framing for this movie. I would like to see the film, but I have avoided watching it because of the bad framing job that was done on the present release.

Just not tonight. Or tomorrow. ;)
