http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=84549WB is planing a Flash TV show. The character will debut in a few episodes of Arrow this season with an episode late in the season serving as a "back door pilot". They say the character will be Barry Allen, he will be called "The Flash", and he will have his traditional suit. I don't know what this means for the Flash movie that is tentatively set for 2016. Does Warner Brothers plan to have two different versions of the character (film and TV) at the same time, or will the cinematic universe cross over with the TV universe?

If its a credible version and they don't go forward with a theatrical movie. I see no reason not to transfer him to the big screen to be in a Justice League movie.

If the small screen version bombs, they will definitely reconsider a big screen version.

I have no problem with them making a Flash TV series, but I wish it wasn't being established as a spin off of "Arrow". I really enjoy the "no superpowers" ethos that show has.

On the show he's just a guy who can run real fast. :)

So, not like the old '90 CBS post-Batman version, then?

(Darn, read the header and thought it was coming out on disk.)

The preview got my attention. I didn't get into The Green Arrow: my loyalties to Smallville betray me :) but I think Flash will be far enough removed that I'll enjoy it.

As a fan of "Smallville" from the first episode. Do not let your loyalties make you avoid "Arrow". I felt the same way at first. But, the show is just so good and is only getting better.

I watched the first several episodes, and it lost out to other shows. It was ok, but wasn't what I really wanted in a superhero show. And it wasn't the Oliver Queen I know :)

You have to keep watching. You see his gradual transformation from a murdering vigilante who only cares about the names on the list. To the hero who tries not to kill and becomes a superhero. Also, it doesn't happen overnight and you see the reasons for every change on both him and how others see him.

That's the problem. It's the mid-90s all over. I don't have time to give a show half a season to grow. There's so much good TV right now that I'm leaving a trail of desolation as I try and abandon or outright ignore all these "give it time" shows. :)

I watched pretty much the whole season of Arrow. It didn't take with me, either. And John Barrowman showing up only made it worse.

If Flash follows in the same footsteps, I'll be passing on it as well.

I'm hopeful for Flash. Catchy preview. And I don't have superhero baggage for this one (Smallvilles Flash was kind dorky. And the '90s Flash was...well, I watched some of it)

The teaser actually turned me off, specifically him 'whooing.' I guess I was expecting someone more mature, though I believe the animated character is a bit on the snarky side.

It's awful. The 1990 series was excellent although hardly anyone saw it.

I thought the pilot was pretty good. Grant Gustin is very good as Barry Allen, and the rest of the supporting actors seem well cast. I did think it ended up setting up a situation very similar to Arrow, with the hero and his support team on wireless headphone with computer data in front of them. I liked the sci-fi aspects - reminded me a bit of the Six Million Dollar Man, and a bit of Agents of Shield.

Still, I'm perfectly willing to keep tuning in to see if the Arrow team can deliver a quality show week after week.

I also thought this was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was the long haired science guy/assistant who looks like he's 14. This seems like it could be a fun, entertaining show. I like the time travel element that was introduced as well.
