They're sending crackers in reference to the Firecracker Lounge. According to http://www.savetheblackdonnellys.net, they are also sending shamrocks and quarters.

I just caught up on the rest of the episodes via HDNet. What a fantastic show. I have to say, of all the shows that got a premature cancellation this year, this is the one that deserved to stay the most. And talk about a show never having a chance...jeez.

And I don't know what TV555 was talking about, but Joey Ice Cream was most definitely the narrator.
