So do I get a special title now or do I actually have to post constructively now that I'm at 9000 posts?

Tony: The Telephone Book was put out on Bluray by a company called Vinegar Syndrome. Robert Harris recently posted a thing about them. I discovered them last December when they released a 3 film bluray of lost, softcore (and one hardcore) Herschel Gordon Lewis films. I've been buying everything they put out. Telephone Book was their latest bluray, they've also been putting out 2 film drive-in collections and what not. Everything from exploitation, horror to porn and coming up a documentary. They're the Criterion of trash, and pretty cheap too. They're putting out double feature DVDs for $12-$15 while Warners can only release MOD discs in the archive for $18.

Anyways, they aren't motion picture classics, but they are interesting and entertaining. What I've watched anyways. They're getting my money at any rate!

Moe: We mark every thousand post that I hit. :P

[Mental note to self to make a big deal when Moe hits 2000 posts...]

Moe: I just happened to notice Russell's feat. I don't know why...but those sorts of things jump off the screen at me.

Hey i saw Star Trek this week, and i didnt hate it! Sure i have to pretend this is not Trek, its just a sci fi movie that steals a lot from Trek.

One thing, how big is this Enterprise supposed to be, cause they can run a damn long time in that engine room. I see they also added another type of facility, beside the brewery to play the engine room. hate it. I always hate when they use contemporary places in sci fi. Hate it in 50s movies (at least they had the excuse of no money), and i hate it in 2013 movies.

So anyway, Trek was a good Galaxy Quest, i mean Trek flick, exciting, and funny. Sometimes it is cool to look at, and i have always loved anything with Bruce Greenwood in it (Nowhere Man).

So I just got back from Now You See Me. I know it's a little early, but I'm going to go right ahead and name this one the stupidest movie of the year. It's actually frustrating to watch. The "magic" depicted in the movie is even more unbelivable and silly than in the trailer (which was ridiculous and silly), and the four magician heroes are the most unlikable, smug, obnoxious pricks you're likely to see in a film. Then you get Mark Ruffalo and the french girl from Inglorious Basterds acting their asses off and being great and you can't help but wonder "Why do THEY have to be in this stupid, implausible, insulting movie? They're great actors! They're a joy to watch!" A movie about magicians using their technical ability to rob banks should be the coolest movie of the year, WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!? Anyway, I spent the whole film praying that Ruffalo would catch up the magicians and beat them to death. I rolled my eyes so hard, so many times during the film that I practically slipped into a coma. 1.5/5

Tomorrow I'm off to see Ricks favouritist of all Star Trek movies... I really hope I like it. I've just not been feeling it for new movies this year. I'm worried I've gone down the trash rabbit hole and now generic hollywood blockbusters don't do it for me any more. :S

I saw Now You See Me as well. Well, I enjoyed it a lot more than Russell. Yes, it's preposterous and you want to slap Jesse Eisenberg's face, but it was fun. I also spent the whole movie wondering why "Jack Wilder" looked so familiar, then saw the credits and yeah, he looks like James Franco is why! I agree Mark Ruffalo and Melanie Laurent were great. I really like Ruffalo now, but when I saw first saw him in You Can Count on Me, I thought he was a horribly bland actor. He totally won me over with Zodiac.

How did you like Trek, Russ?
Oh yeah! I saw the new Trek! I loved it! Best of the summer so far. It was action packed and fun, and none of it seemed out of place, stupid, or at the expense of the characters. I could of done without a throw back to a classic scene, but it's forgivable. So yeah, good stuff and my faith is returned for the summer blockbuster so here's hoping Stuperman Of Steelz is good!

Liz. Zodiac is one of my favourite all time films. I still feel insulted by Now You See Me, I try not to think about it. What the fuck where they thinking making that movie?!?!?!

Do we mark every thousand or just 9k?
I nominate we celebrate every 20 :)

Recently watched Bite the Bullet with Gene Hackman. Got to watch it in HD without commercials, was really enjoyable. It was the kind that started at midnight when I was supposed to be heading to bed.....yeah, definitely finished it.
