Technical question re: Starsky & Hutch S1 set (1 Viewer)

Gord's review of the S&H S1 set stated that there were no subtitles, but that there IS closed captioning. After I tried everything under the sun (and failed) to access any closed captioning on my set, I e-mailed Gord to ask if the info in the review was correct, and he even sent me a screen capture with the captioning to assure me that it was.

I use my TV's closed-captioning feature quite frequently, and I've tried all of the various CC options with the S&H set, but I still cannot access any closed captioning.

So, my question is this: Has anybody else who has this set experienced this? Or do I have a defective set? Or...any other suggestions?

Some players have an option in the menu to turn on and off the closed captioning stream. Maybe your's is turned off? Check the settings. Just a thought.
