Actually, "KISS in Attack of the Phantoms" is available on the KISSOLOGY Vol. 2 DVD set. It's the European theatrical version, features actual KISS songs in the background instead of that wokka wokka 70s porn music, and is presented in the 2:35 to 1 aspect ratio.

After Dexter tonight, I'm gonna put on the remake of HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, another one you might wanna seek it. Be back in a few days to suggest another, one you will definately get a kick out of, if you haven't already seen it. I'm gonna watch it myself once I'm done with HAUNTED HILL.

Oooh, I dont know if I could handle the Haunted Hill remake - the original was so awesome, I cant imagine that the new one stands up at all. Still, you'll have to tell me all about it!

Yeah, but I kind of liked the Bow-chicka-bow-wow porn music! (: Still, I'll have to go check it out!

So I was planning on doing a double feature last night, finishing off Feast and the Midnight Meat Train, but I was dog tired so I only got through one - Meat Train. (yes, yes - I'll get Feast finished off tonight, I swear!)

Did you know that Vinnie Jones was booked 3 seconds into a football match back in 1987, holding the record for fastest Red Card ever earned by a soccer player? Why do I bring this up - because I don’t have much to say about the movie. On the surface it sounds like pretty good murder mystery - but any pretence of "mystery" is stripped away right from the get go as we quickly find out that it's Vinnie who's doing the killing. Oh sure there's to the Why he's butchering people like cattle in the middle of the night, but anyone with half a brain will be able to quickly work that out.

But even at the end, we still don’t know quite what the hell is going on. We know what happens to The Meat on the train, and there's like a line of vague exposition that mentions some kind of CHUD-like threat from the dawn of time, but who's masterminding this whole operation? Who are Vinnie's employers? What are those little growth things all over Vinnie's chest? Why does New York City apparently have only one detective for the whole city? What the hell is up with that very silly (silly as in stupid, not silly as in goofy) ending?

Ah well, a movie with potential that just pisses it all away. Pity.

Man, I loved the MEAT TRAIN . . . before Barker and Company got screwed by the studio they had this set up as a trilogy which means we would have found out all about those things at the end. Anyhow, his short story wraps things up in a much better fashion, but since I read that a long time ago, I can't recall what the whole mythology was with those creatures. In the story, I think they were called, the "Forefathers."

If you loved the original HAUNTED HILL so much, I'd stay away from the remake then. I personally never liked the original, but got a thrill out of the remake instead. Next week I gotta finally get into my annual Halloween flicks, (NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, and HALLOWEEN 1-3).

Since I won all those Fango Frightfest flicks, I gotta still check out PIG HUNT and ROAD KILL, those are really the only two I'm dying to see. I got three I'm selling for ten bucks if anyone's interested? (GRIMM LOVE, HUNGER, THE TOMB). Got a classified add down in the appropriate section.

I gotta agree with Michael. The movie isn't about who's doing it, but about why it's being done, and who's gonna take over the "family business" once the current "killer" can no longer do it. All of which comes as a terrible surprise to our lead characters.

Well, I finally got through Dog Solders and Slither the other day - not because of their quality or anything, but because I've been busy as hell over the last couple of days. I loved how Slither was a direct homage to old school 50's science fiction flicks, even down to the soundtrack. Very awesome flick. Dog Solders was a little bit predictable in places, but a fun flick anyway. It was a nice mix of Preditor, Night of the Living Dead with just a hint of Jaws thrown in for good measure. So that'll probably be it for me for Scary Movies for the month - I'm not burned out, but I just got the Zombie Pack for Red Dead Redemption - and that will easily kill the next 6 hours of leasure time.
