Hi, I need advice/opinions please. My receiver is a Yamaha RX-V630. My sub is a Velodyne CT-120. My mains are Wharfedale 8.3's. Anyway, i've always had the receiver settings on "small", and run a sub cable out to the sub, using the receiver's crossover. Recently, I decided to try high-level connection. Running speaker wires out of my receiver to the sub, then from the sub to my mains. I swear it sounded better. I hate the fixed receiver crossover, as my mains are rated at 40hz-20khz. So, obviously, they can go lower than 90hz. And, it seems to sound better anyway with the subs crossover. So, I can't decide how I want to hook it up now. Also, the high-pass crossover on my sub is 80hz or 100hz. I had it at 80hz using high-level. And, the sub crossover was 80hz as well. Opinions?
