Over the last couple of years I have been fortunate enough to replace a lot of my HT gear and need to store my old gear until I am ready to use it in a basement play/family room.

The best place (as far as available space) is an un-insulated attic.

I am in the north east and tempurature changes can easily be 30°f - 40°f day to day. (The most recent forcast shows a 33°f drop over a 24hr period.

Because of this, I am worried about the effects of condensation on the e l ectroni c s (corrosion etc.)My thought process is to cover the components in a couple layers of moving blankets and/or plastic.

The gear will be stored until spring, so about six months.

Any comments, suggestions?

Thanks

for there to be much condensation temps would have to change quickly, which rarely happens in an attic, I have stored stuff in an attic before with no problems
