Excited to have Sugarland and Duel - would love it if Jurassic Park finally gets a transfer the movie deserves
I had thought the same thing but I was told in another thread some time ago that it was actually controlled by Universal.Bryan Tuck said:Munich is, I think, a Dreamworks-owned title, so it would probably be Paramount...
Did they have to re-do the editing for the extended cut in HD?lukejosephchung said:Bill Hunt at The Digital Bits confirms that 1941 will include BOTH theatrical and extended cuts...
I have to disagree about Duel. There's something about it that has grown on me immensely over the years. I find myself watching it once a year, usually on a hot summer's night. I've only ever seen the TV version (1.33:1) on DVD, so if there is a widescreen theatrical cut included that would be great. Either way, I think it's a very clever and underrated movie.bigshot said:I'm fine with skipping these films altogether. Duel was OK as a TV movie. Indiana Jones had some fun moments. But the rest of them are very hard for me to watch.
I have a friend at work that is a DUEL fanatic.I've only ever seen the TV version (1.33:1) on DVD, so if there is a widescreen theatrical cut included that would be great. Either way, I think it's a very clever and underrated movie.
As far as I know, domestically, the TV cut of Duel has never been released.Wait, has it been confirmed that the TV cut of Duel is not the one being released?
You've got the 90 minute theatrical version. The shorter running time is due to PAL speedup.Persianimmortal said:Wait, has it been confirmed that the TV cut of Duel is not the one being released?
To add to the confusion, I just looked at the back of my DVD, and it shows the runtime as being 85 minutes - according to IMDB the TV cut is 74 minutes and the theatrical cut is 90 minutes, so I'm wondering now which version I've seen? I assume it's the TV version as it's 1.33:1.
