Starz! to begin broadcasting HD channels (1 Viewer)

Finally! I've been so disappointed to see movies obtained by them because I know I'll be stuck with 4:3. At the very least this should lead to some more films in OAR. Perhaps they'll take Showtime's initiative and stick with it.

Where does the press release say that Starz will show movies in their OAR? All I see is mention of the 16:9 HD format. That guarantees nothing with respect to OAR.

Well, I'm extrapolating that being shown in 16:9 will allow at least a portion of their films to be shown OAR. My hope was that they would extend that to 2.35:1 and like films as well. But, as you said, there is no mention of it. I was just hoping they follow the path of Showtime and not HBO.
