I recently watch this show on History Channel. It was basically about the auction of most everything Paramount had in Storage regarding the entire franchise. The item fetching the most was the hero model Enterprise from TNG. Selling for $500,000. If everything was available wouldn't the model from the original series be the most valuable?? obviously it was not for sale here. Does anyone happen to know what ever became of the original series Enterprise model? was it destroyed, previously sold or is it perhaps in a museum somewhere? I'd be interested to know.

The Smithsonian has the 11 ft. long Enterprise miniature from the show. (Their most recent "restoration" added a paint job it never had it the 60's though.) There was also a three foot model used on the series that has been missing for decades.
