Speaker Distances (1 Viewer)

I don't understand what the Speaker Distance setting is for. I've tried several different settings, but I don't notice any difference in the audio. What is it supposed to do ?

It syncs up the audio to hit your ears at the same time...
IE, your surround speakers are the closest to you, followed by the center...then the mains...
It syncs up the milliseconds.
