Speaker Distance PROBLEM (1 Viewer)

Hello-

Is it all right if my "sweet spot" is not in the center of the room. My couch is closer to the left front speaker than the center speaker. I am about 17 feet away from all of the speakers, but my couch is positioned to the left. Will this ruin my calibration? Can I take measurements from this position?

Thanks

Mike

Most (all?) receivers allow for delay settings on surround speakers, in increments of milliseconds (which translates to approximately 1 foot).

If you are calibrating you must do it from your primary listening location, otherwise it is worthless to its "primary objective", which is to balance the speakers as you hear them.
