After playing the game demo a lot and trying the different ways to view it, I prefer to turn off 720p and have it fill my Toshiba 16:9 in 480p. The biggest indicator of the difference is how crisp the red Namco logo looks. In 720p it is a bit soft. I'm assuming this is due to the Toshiba's upconversion process. Does anyone concur or have a different experience?

7200->1080i sideconversion loses a lot of the temporal resolution of 720p, especially when the source is video and not film.

So, the demo of SC2 appears in a tiny box on my 4x3 Sony HD XBR. I assume this is because sony asume 720p is a 16x9, and the game is generating black bars on the right left... anyone know how to fix?
Thx.

I believe by definition 720p is 16:9 and that's technically what you are getting. It just happens that part of the 16:9 area is black. I'm not sure why the designers didn't go fullscreen and I don't think there is any way to get around it. I'd say turn off 720p and 16:9 in the XBox and just go with 480p 4:3.
