I was researching some RPTV's this weekend (planned to purchase in next 6 months) and my local Fry's is selling the Sony 51WS500 for $1699. Best Buy wants $2088 for the same set!

I hadn't even considered the Sony because of the price, and had been trying to decide between the Panny 47WX52 or the Tosh 42H82.

Even though it's not the best time for me to buy, Sony has a 1 year no payments no interest offer I could take advantage of.

Any reason to hesitate?

Thats more than likely a price for an open box item. Just recently got my KP57WS500 and love it.

I was just at ABC Warehouse (A Michigan-based chain) and they had the 51WS500 marked at $2299. When I asked them, "What's the lowest I can have this for?" the salesman came back with "$1799". Just for kicks, I asked about the KP57WS500, and he said "$2068". So I'm having the KP57WS500 delivered on Saturday! :) There are lots of deals to be had on projection TVs right now, before the holiday rush.
I say go to Fry's and buy it!

I was also at frys this weekend and the prices there have me looking at Sony very closely. They have the 57WV600 for 2199 and the 700 for 2499. I am debating between this and the Mitsubishi 55411.

James, the price at Fry's for for a brand new item, in fact all the Sony's were on sale. They listed as a "Managers Special" and they were selling a ton of them.
BTW, I called my local Circuit City today and the 51WS500 is only $1746 there. Hmm, now I'm wondering if Sony is authorizing a drop in prices. :emoji_thumbsup:

Sonys typically drop in price about 3 months or so after the new models come out, same thing happenned last year but not until Thanksgiving.
