Everything But The Girl - "Like the Deserts Miss the Rain"
A retrospective, with a bunch of new/alternate mixes. Sublime (the adjective, not the band). ETBTG rules!!

Ani DiFranco - "Evolve"

Transatlantic - "Bridge Across Forever"
Prog rock hasn't sounded this good since I was a teen.

Sarah Fimm - "A Perfect Dream" and "Cocoon"
Discovered her on the 'net. Who says MP3's are killing sales? Two downloaded tracks and I just had to buy her CDs. Both of them. Are you listening, Vivendi...BMG...Warner????

Moodswings - "Horizontal"
Loved the first 2 Moodswings discs. Jury's still out on this one.

I only purchased The White Stripes - Elephant - Such a great album, I feel its there best effort yet.

Steve, you purchased The Ravonettes - How is the album? I've only heard that Attack of the Ghost Riders song, which I quite like.

Maybe this would be an interesting subject for a weekly discussion - what did we buy the week of 7-13 April, 14-21 April etc

Just like in the TV discussion, what about "24" this week, etc.

Received in the mail from the Musical Heritage Society (Columbia House type thing for classical music):

Mozart Piano Concertos, John Browning, vol 1 & 2

Yo Yo Ma / Emanuel Ax- Cello Sonatas by Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev

Rachmaninoff- 4 piano concertos, Vladimir Ashkenazy
(NP)

Yep, I'm reviving my interest in Russian classical music.

Oooh, Oooh, Oooh,

Another vote for the new Lucinda. So far, Outstanding!

Also picked up a replacement for a defective Live: Alison Krauss SACD. Thank goodness the new one is OK. Very gorgeous sounding set.

Well according to this thread no one is buying the new DSOTM SACD like was predicted in another thread on this forum. ;) :D

Peace, Rick
