.sit files- what are they

    I currently ordered some plugins for photoshop from a british company they say the files are locked in exe/release.sit files and need to be expanded ( like winzip I guess) is anyone familar with these type of files and if so- what do I use to open them with- thanks

    .sit = stuff it, which is the Mac equivalent of .zip files. I think Aladdin Software makes a stuff it expander for Windows.

    Thanks for the responses- I feel like a chump - I suppose I should jump on the MAc bandwagon since it seems to be more popular with graphics such as photoshop and stuff- again thnaks for the info
