Simple Receiver question (1 Viewer)

Sorry if this is really basic. I'm trying to decide between the HK 125 and 225. The 125 is closer to an already stretched budget. What is the difference between a receiver that can process 5.1/DTS (ie, HK125) or decode 5.1/DTS (ie, 225)???

There is no difference - other than the way it was written up. Both the AVR-125 and AVR-225 will handle DTS in the same manner. Get the AVR-125 and enjoy !!

It seems like the prices at the H/K site for refurbished gear is higher than some of the vendors who sell the gear as new. Before purchasing from the indicated site, I'd check out some of the other recommended vendors first.

Thanks for your help...HK 125 it is then. And yeah, I too have been a bit surprised that the HK refurbished units are close to the same price as the new ones (from certain vendors, of course). Maybe the difference is greater on the higher end models(?).
