EW reported that on average, they'll have to cut about 6 minutes from the Showtime version for each episode aired on CBS. Perhaps some of those 6 minutes will be Deb's crackling line deliveries...

The one thing that this has going for it is that those new to the show won't be bothered by the missing content because they never knew it was there to begin with, it bothers us because we know.

I've been told they didn't shoot "safe" takes of scenes. Odds are the actors scored a nice payday going back into the ADR booth.

One of my favorite lines (from what I remember) from season 2:

Deb: What frakking asshole left this in the way?

Lundy: It's , uh, special frakking agent asshole

Or you could watch the Mr. Show sketch that did it first, and better...

But hey, when has MadTV been known for being original? Or funny?

Well, Bill, I was going to asked you why you must pound every point into the dirt but then I watched your clip and I laughed...hard.

Still, it didn't capture Goodfellas as well as the Mad TV sketch captured a typical episode of The Sopranos IMO.

I haven't seen the show b/c I don't have Showtime, but I just heard CBS is airing the first season. I'm so excited that I finally get to see what everyone is talking about - the show sounds awesome and I love Michael C. Hall...
For those like me who want to jump on the bandwagon (albeit a bit late) it starts Feb 17th - Sundays at 10PM on CBS.

While I think it's great that they're airing this on a regular network I do not see how it can be the same show with everything edited out in order to get past the censors.
