Hi all,

I have a Toshiba 57HDX82 with the hissing problem. I have the Toshiba TB that states the fix. Simply solder a cap in the correct spot. I am about 2 months from the end of the warranty so I called my local authorized repair shop. (They happen to be the only one around that does warranty work) They said they would come and pick it up but turnaround time is 4 WEEKS! They will not do it in house. I have an electronics degree and have no problem opening it up and doing it myself so I won't have to go without it for so long. Besides I have convergence set where I want it and would have to do another 56pt after being moved. So question is there any reason why I shouldn't do it???? I know it can void my warranty but frankly it is out in 2 months anyway.

Thanks ahead of time for your input!
