Hi all,

I'm considering stepping up to a front projector from my 30" 16:9 direct view, but my room seems quite a bit smaller than what most list for FP use. I'd have about 11' from projector to screen, and viewing distance might be around 8-9 feet. Would the InFocus X1 work well, and what screen size would be attainable?

Thanks!

Here yah go: http://www.projectorcentral.com/proj...=1885&metric=0

Manufacturer
Specifications: Distance to Screen Range: 5.0 ft. - 32.8 ft.
Screen Size Diagonal Range: 32.4 in. - 260.4 in.

Distance to Screen: 11.0 ft.
Calculated 4:3
Image Size Diagonal Range: 72 - 88 in. ( 5.9 - 7.3 ft.)
Height Range: 43 - 53 in. ( 3.6 - 4.4 ft.)
Width Range: 58 - 70 in. ( 4.8 - 5.8 ft.)

If you can spend a little more you can get the Panny 200 or Sanyo PLV-Z1/Matinee HD1 for almost the same price and those are short throw projectors meaning at about 8-9 ft you will get a 80" wide screen. The only problem is you might see the screen door effect sitting that close.

Need more info PM me...

Cool link, thanks Chad. I actually stopped into Best Buy earlier to pick up an X1 to try, but they were all out (even though the website showed it available for pickup at that location. Yay!).
