Fans of old time radio and classic TV will remember the great Les Tremayne for the many (and I mean many) great performances he gave in the golden age of radio/TV. However many others may remember Les from his role as "Mentor" on the 70's cult classic "Shazam". I'll confess that's where I first saw him as a youngster. As I got older I found out what a rich background this gentleman had in broadcasting. He passed away Friday at the age of 90. I have yet to find an official obit on him. Hopefully one will pop up soon so that his contributions to broadcasting can be duly noted.
