Warner is releasing this according to bluray .com. Anything from Sidney Lumet is always welcome.

Warner! We don't want SERPICO. How about McCABE & Mrs. MILLER---OUT OF THE PAST---GET CARTER---MILDRED PIERCE--THE TIME MACHINE--AFTER HOURS---KEY LARGO---KLUTE---TIME AFTER TIME. Can anyone at Warners hear us?

Speak for yourself as that's part of the Paramount distribution deal and not about Warner owned titles.

Really. I don't think you are speaking for the majority.

I would welcome a BD release of Serpico.

Ditto! However, I would prefer the Warner-owned Prince of the City.

Why don't "we" want Serpico? It's one of many we want. I want ALL of those titles listed above.

It would be interesting to know the details of Warners contract with Paramount and some sort of timetable as I don't think many of us will live long enough at the current output to see the titles referred to by Didier R above.

Speaking of films by Sidney Lumet, I would like also to see THE PAWNBROKER---FAIL-SAFE and EQUUS on blu.

This is a fine-looking transfer, with inherant grain intact, fine contrast, shadow detail, rich colors, etc, not unlike most of Paramount's more recent (and all too few) catalog releases. When they do up their own, they do it right. Purchase without hesitation!

I thought I'd read somebody's thoughts on it, and that it sounded good. Maybe not. At any rate, I have it and am totally happy with it.
