What's the deal with the theatrical cut only??? I remember when this was first released to VHS there were three or four different covers and I believe the Barrymore one featured the uncut footage.

LionsGate releases most of their stuff in some sort of Director's Cut so perhaps a 4-pack will be released at some point. As of now, there's no need to buy these.

I'll wait for the inevitable box set that'll include the fourth film later this year. I don't hold out hope that LG will re-release these uncut with the set but at least everything will be in one package.

I think the idea brought up earlier that the director's cut was only done in standard definition is a very likely answer. Especially since that director's cut would have been put together in 1997 (or maybe late 1996) when no one worried much about the future of home video.
