Obviously no one had an opinion on this show. I don't know why. I thought it was funny:confused:

Tech Talk was just about the best thing I've ever seen on SNL. Extremely funny and scathing satire of our ridiculous culture. I loved it (and the Californians).

Bruno Mars amused me very much last night! To never have acted in anything, he was much better than, for example, January Jones. Loved seeing Tom Hanks. too.:P:P

Bruno was pretty good. As you might suspect, the Pandora Headquarters sketch is not available in the internet streaming version of the show.

I thought it was rather funny (unintentionally, perhaps), that after this skit making fun of popular songs/artists and some of their nonsense lyrics and unintelligible singing, he sang one of his own songs that seemed to consist mostly of the lyrics "woah, woah, woah" and "yeah, yeah, yeah".

Did anyone else find that skit vaguely obnoxious (in that it was kind of mocking other artists)?
I was half-asleep for most of the show, but I liked the Yeti sketch.

Anne Hathaway did OK with her usual willing to do anything (some would say trying too hard) approach, but her previous turns as host had more memorable sketches, Mary Poppins being my favorite.

Jeremy Renner was just the epitome of awkward. He set a bad tone in his monologue, when he played the "I can't believe I'm doing this" card and then never took it back.

Talk about polar opposites in hosting personalities.

Martin Short made the most out of the material they gave him. The Royal hooha skit was funny. The Al Pacino as Charlie Brown short was kind of funny. Maybe too much Paul McCartney (not crazy about the 2nd song he did). Had to rewind it a few times to check on Samuel L. Jackson dropping the F-bomb, and then a BS as well, and laughing at Keenan's comment that it was costing them money.

I thought Sir Paul's second song was the highlight of the show.

Short ended up being the perfect host, for me. I was hoping they would do something with his greasy lawyer-character from the old SNL shorts, but his loose-yet-professional silliness was awesome.
"Girl You Wish You Hadn't Talked To At a Party" is really hitting her stride, now. "I WISHED FOR AN END TO GENOCIDE."
(Biggest surprise of the night was Killam's Michael Keaton-impression in the Peanuts short. Who even does a Keaton?)

Normally the last half hour seems like sketches that just aren't fully ready. But the champagne sketch startled me for how over the top it was but how outrageously funny. 'banged into a sinkhole then mole people banged me back' 'porn shoot in Mexico where 2 girls disappeared' 'the best gift is..' 'had to ice down my hand from having to masturbate a horse' holy cow. I couldn't believe some of the jibes. Very funny, but one of the riskiest sketches I've seen all year

He's definitely a multi-talented fella (despite the lack of banjo pickin' skills). How old was Drew Barrymore when she entered the 5 Timers Club? I would have thought JT was the youngest, but then they showed Barrymore's portrait.

It would be close between those two. But definitely one of the most solid episodes the whole season; there were several good bits

According to the dates on Wikipedia, JT and Barrymore both hit five times as host at age 32, but JT just turned 32 on January 31st, whereas Barrymore was almost three months away from turning 33 when she hit five.

I don't even remember Drew Barrymore hosting at all, let alone five times. Must not have been that memorable.
