Hello guys, I have a quick question. Is it safe to run satellites without a sub? I have a velodyne CHT 5 piece speaker set. They have 4 1/2" midrange and a 1" tweeter. I won't be getting my sub for a couple of more weeks. I was wanting to get everything hooked up and wanted to make sure I won't hurt anything as long as I keep the volume real low. Thanks.

You don't have to keep the volume real low, you just won't get a ton of bass from your speakers. Enjoy.

If you hear any distortion, then you need to turn it down. You could also try setting your speakers to "small" on your receiver.

Just don’t try to compensate for the missing lows (that the sub would give) by turning up the bass. That’s asking for trouble if you play it loud.
