    Hi all,

Two quick questions re Rotel specs:

Do the Rotel RSP-1066 and RSP-1098 provide signal conversion from, say, S-video to component video?

Does the Rotel RSP-1066 provide sufficient bandwidth for high-definition component switching without video signal degradation? [I couldn't find the bandwidth spec on either the 1066 or 1098, though the latter does advertise "HD component inputs."]

    Thank you for your help.

    Dave

The 1066 does not convert S-Vid to component, I doubt that the 1098 does either but not sure. The new crop of 1066's have 100mnz or possibly even 200mhz bandwidth capabilities, older ones can be sent in and upgraded under warranty.[IMG]

From what I have read, the RSP 1098 does actually do s vid conversion to component.

Do a little search at the link below

This is HTGUIDE's Club Rotel. They have some insightful info on the RSP 1098.

Looks like a pretty sweet machine if you got the cash.
