God, the deaths just keep coming. This is a shocker to me, since I'd read plenty of interviews with him about the A-Team movie adaptation and seen him guest star occasionally on "Castle." This man is responsible for more iconic television than 99.9 percent of the people who have worked in the business. RIP.

A giant talent. For me The Rockford Files was one of the most "comfortable shoes" shows I can recall.

The Greatest American Hero, The A-Team, The Commish, 21 Jump Street. The shows I grew up watching.


I always remember the logo after the closing credits, him typing on his typewriter and throwing the paper, forming a C for Cannell.
