I cant remember the name, but there was this movie with Frank Stallone, which had the EXACT SAME COVER as his brother Sylvester's "Cobra". (mean guy with laser sight gun and a cigarette, dressed in black leather)

In the latest of issue of Entertainment Weekly (the one with Madonna on the cover) there is an ad for a new movie (the title is escaping me) that rips off the artwork for The Last Picture Show exactly.
It struck me right away because I am a big fan of LPS and it seems like like an odd choice to rip off. Maybe they thought no one would notice?

I don't remember the names of the films, but at the video store the other day I saw two films that looked liek Swingers (one had Emilio Estevez in it).

The Scream Trilogy posters look awfully like the "The Faculty" poster. :)

A very similar thread existed a while back on this very topic. I did a search for that thread, but the search option isn't really behaving right now. Here are some that were discussed in that thread. I'll be back if I can think of some more.

The 'Beyond Suspicion' art changed. I guess FOX realized it was a blatant rip off.

I looked up that movie in Entertainment Weekly. It's called American Outlaws.
Check it out:

Very cute. You could mix all 14 of those movies together and maybe come up with one good flick.
OK, take the original Scream out. It's a solid movie.
Oh yeah, the cover arts are kinda similar, but I think it's just coincidence...

This was not just a simple rip-off of the cover art...
It was an actual photo theft.
I saw a copy of Laser Mission with the EXACT same front cover art photo of Brandon Lee as the VHS tape of Rapid Fire.
The only change was the font and title.

This is probably a stretch. When I saw the Family Man cover on a commercial, it reminded me of Being There. They weren't as similar as I thought when I checked them out side-by-side. Still, with the 'Burbs cover thrown in, this is obviously some kind of archetype cover. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some more famous cover they are all based on, but I can't think of it.

Regarding the Suspicion movies, I remember one of the teasers posters for Nurse Betty being strickingly similar, which is kind of weird, seeing as Freeman was in Betty and Under Suspicion.
