I have a pair of bookshelf JBL's that I would like to upgrade to a pair of not too wide towers (space limited). My reasoning is for better stereo SACD listening and not having to rely on my sub so much for range in movies.
Any help would be appreciated.

Might find them cheaper, or save longer.

Thank you for your help Steve. I am going to go with a set of mirages that wowed me for a little more money than I was thinking of spending. Funny how that works when you are shopping. :b
I loved the specs of the speakers you mentioned and they gave me something to go on.

Donald,

What in your opinion are the pluses/minuses of the AE aegis
one? and are you talking about the new Evo model or the previous one? thanks.

I wanted to go with a floor standing model due to already having bookshelves and having a hard time placing them right.
I decided to get a pair of Mirage omni 250's. I fell in love with them and I suggest demoing them if you can.
As far as the jbl's if I was going to stay with bookshelves I would have to consider them because I loved my cheaper models plus I have a jbl sub that i love.
