I'd love to have short-story of a game to play. A fantastic experience in 10 hours would be a treat for the holidays.
Right now, i dont want to tackle a monster "Les Miserables" of a Skyrim or Assassins Creed III. But a great little "Coraline" of a short game could fit my holiday vacation.
DLC is fine, as is a retail product. Doesn't have to be brand new, either. (Im also playing Between Good and Evil and Fallout 3). Thanks!

Good list. I've played PvZ (iPhone) and love it. I demo'd Braid a while back, but didn't get into it. I'll check out Borderlands and Limbo.

People play Borderlands and now BL2 for 60+ hours, but you can play it in small chunks if you like.

I watched the IGN reivew of Borderlands, and it's not what I want right now. It looks fun. But they also commented on it being a open world game built around gathering items, with 100,000 gun variants that you can spend your life optimizing. I need something simpler and more direct for this Winter. I've still got FO3 to feed compulsive pack-muling traits :)

Limbo, Braid, Castlevania, Geometry Wars. Maybe Shadow Complex. Some good options there.

Maybe I should re-try 'Splosion Man. Which was awesome, but became difficult in later levels.

If you're a music fan, anything from the Rock Band series works. You can unlock the entire catalogue without having to play through the game. If I have a little time to kill, I'll pop off a few tunes in Rock Band.
My friends and I get a big kick out of Blur's multiplayer, especially the demolition derby.
I also like Full House Poker because I'm a poker fan and it's possible to play quick games.
Finally, Portal is a really short game. If you haven't already, pick it up. It's part of the Orange Box set.
I have Borderlands and find it incredibly slow-moving to a point of being frustrating. This is coming from a guy who also loves the Fallout and Gears of War series.

Oh man yes, if you haven't played Portal, DO!
Also, a sleeper hit that is on many folks GOTY is The Walking Dead. I played and finished all five episodes and it is HIGHLY recommended.

Oh yes, I'm a Portal fan and played both! (where's my Half Life 3?!?!?!)

I have a Guitar Hero game. It's been packed up for a year, and I forgot I had it :) Will have to get that out again.

    Fez looks interesting.

I haven't heard of Blur or Walking Dead. Will look those up.

Also! Outland is fantastic! It's a 2D game that has elements of old-school Price of Persia in it. I loved Outland.

Speaking of old-school Prince of Persia, they've just released (wait for it!) Karateka for PC and XBox (coming soon to PS3 and mobile).

I've enjoyed both The Pinball Arcade and Rockband Blitz as "time killer" games. Both are good for bite sized chunks. Rockband Blitz doesn't require intruments, and if you bought any DLC for the regular games they all work in it.
