Have a yam 1200 at the moment. Running an Anthem MCA3 through fronts and centers. What receivers would allow the unused power to transfer to the rears? I know the yamaha doesn't and there may not be one but just thought I would check?

As far as I know, there's no receiver that does what you're asking.

Barry: A few years back, Sony did the amp redirection thing on a model or two of the ES series. But they dropped the idea and I don't know of any others who do it currently.

Keep in mind that if you are not using your front amps, the rears are getting the full attention of your receiver's power supply. So chances are that your rear amps are probably running at their full potential...
