Rear-projected LCD TVs (1 Viewer)

Is there a lamp life on these TVs? I know the DLP's generally have a 8,000 hour lamp life on them (Samsungs).

The projector lamp assembly and nearby optics are the same for DLP and LCD projection TV's, and therefore I would expect the lamp life to be about the same. I would actually expect front projectors to have a shorter lamp life than rear projectors because of the greater light output needed for the usually larger screen and therefore greater heat buildup.
