I am listening to The Doors' L.A. Woman DVD-Audio disc as I type this out. A very talented man has left us. He will always be one of my favorite keyboardists of all time. He had a style which was clearly and distinctly all his own.

R.I.P., Mr. Manzarek. Thanks for all that you gave us through the years--and leave for us to enjoy for generations to come!!!

Sad to hear this news.

Ray certainly broke on through to the other side with his musical talents. An integral part of the entity that was the Doors. One door in the room may be shut but the Doors music will always remain open to listen to for all eternity.

I love The Doors and the opening of Strange Days is so great.

Ray, you'll never be forgotten.
Travis,

Agreed. I also love People Are Strange and The End a lot. :)

I've always really liked the Doors. I think all their studio albums are great, but 'Waiting For The Sun' to me is perfect. The fact that Ray was not only an exceptional keyboardist, but also supplied the bass tracks through a synth was quite grand. Very talented. Sad news.
