Great to hear that another of Kurosawa's films has made it to DVD.

Anamorphic 1.85:1, the original aspect ratio, is the order of the day but sadly I felt somewhat disappointed with it.

P.S. your link is not correct. You should type it as:

Pretty bad, actually :frowning: .
Last Monday (May 6th), the right-wing candidate for the upcoming election, Pim Fortuyn, was murdered. He was favorite to win many votes, but had also angered many people with his statements.
The election is still going to be next Wednesday (May 15th), as Foruyn's party wishes, but his supporters are now blaming his political opposers for making him look like the Dutch Haider/Le Pen (the extreme right politicians from Austria and France), and thus evoking the murder.
Anyway, it's a great shock to our democracy, as you'll understand.

Yes I was shocked to learn what had happened on mondaynight. I moved from the Netherlands to Scotland 3 years ago, and have not really followed the political situation since then. Monday night I suppose that changed everything, and was shocked that a murder has to change the political situation, which is never the real situation.
