I friend of mine told me that playing my PS2 Or Gamecube on my RPTV, will damage my tv...an truth besides the obvious burn in possibilities.

If your rear projector is driven by a crt tube its very possible. Any fixed image ( CNN ticker, large parts of a video game screen) can wear that section in a very uniform way.

With an LCD projection system its not a problem. What type do you have?
