I am interested in getting the Panasonic dmr-e20. I tape a lot of tv shows off tv. How is it to record tv shows using the Panasonic? Also, how does it work if I am only taping a one hour show on a 2 hr disc? Can I not finalize a disc until I use the next hour??

ps-How is it to put in chapter stops? Do you do it at the end or as you are recording the show?

Don't expect good picture quality with the two hour per disk setting. Using the highest quality setting, one hour per disk, the picture quailty seems very close to the original source, but anything less shows definite loss of quality.

The 2-hour setting looks fine to me on a TW40X81. Yes, you can record many short programs before finalizing. Chapters are automatically inserted at about 5-minute intervals.
